Where and How to Find the Cheapest Cruises

You may have overlooked taking a cruise for your next holiday because you assumed that a cruise is too expensive.  This is true, in part.  Some cruises are very expensive but some are also very, very cheap! It is easy to find cruises and there are many available at any given time sailing to all destinations around the world.  The tricky part is finding the right one for you and the right one at the price you want.  The key is research.  The more research you do ahead of time, the better deal you will get.
So, where do you look for cheap cruises.  First of all, start by learning as much as you can about cruising and cruises.  The more you know, the more of an edge you will have when knowing what to look for in a budget cruise.   Next, ask people you know.  They can give you first-hand experiences from any travels they have done. You can also or email travel agencies to find out what deals and specials they have going and use a good search engine to search for deals no the net.  If you come across any websites that look promising, sign up for their email newsletter so that you will be among the first to find out about any deals that they have in the future.   Here are some more tips on finding the right cruise:
1)      Check websites such as <A href=” http://www.expedia.com/ “> Expedia </a> , Orbitz and Travelocity.
2)      Do not omit airline websites from your search!  These sites offer more than just airfare, some offer all-inclusive vacations and cruises.
3)      Use a cruise-booking site instead of booking directly with the cruise line.  It is more expensive to book with the cruise line.
4)      Do a search for Inaugural Cruises.  An inaugural cruise is basically the maiden voyage of a new ship that has joined a fleet and sailing on this type of voyage can be much cheaper!  They fill up fast though so in order to get onboard with a maiden voyage, start looking as far in advance as possible!
5)      Look for dates just before or after holidays.  Off-season travel is usually much cheaper.  For example, September is the cheapest time to take a cruise to Alaska.
Watch out for offers that seem to good to be true because, often times, they are.  Do some research into the company before you book.  Once you have your eye on a cruise you want to book, make sure you know what is included in the price and what amenities are available.  Don’t jump in and book a cruise just because it is cheap and end up skipping on things that you deem important.  Finally, when booking airfare, you will save money by booking your own rather than booking it through the cruise company.
With enough research and time put into it, you will be on your way to enjoying the vacation of a lifetime without spending more than you can afford!
